Be A Whitewater Rafting Guide! Or a Ziplining Guide!

Love adventure? Want to be outside in the beautiful weather instead of stuck indoors? Want to be paid to have fun every day? Consider becoming a whitewater rafting or zipline guide!

We are teaching rafting and zipline classes at A-B Tech this year! From this pool of students we will be grooming our new staff for the year, so come on out for an opportunity to “play at work” with the best in the business.

Zipline Guide Training

zipline guide training In this class you will learn skills to work as a zipline guide. There will be instructional time in the classroom and on site at French Broad Rafting and Ziplines. Students must be 18 yrs of age to register. Please register in person at the Asheville, Enka or Madison AB Tech campuses.

Upon completion students will be prepared to sit for the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) Level I Practitioner certification exam and work at any area zipline course.

Registration fee: $131.40

Whitewater Rafting Guide Training

whitewater rafting guide trainingThis class will focus on the fundamentals and skills needed to become a whitewater rafting guide. Learn to read whitewater, use river signals, maneuver and rig rafts, tie knots, work with guests and other basic river operations. Students must be 18 years old to register and must register in person at one of the following locations: Asheville Campus, Enka Site or Madison Site. Valid proof of identification will be required at registration.

Registration fee: $256.40
