Whitewater Rafting: French Broad Rafting provides everything you need to enjoy a wonderful time on the free flowing French Broad River. Blannahassett Island: This island and town park is a wonderfully unique setting to enjoy nature including picnic areas, a walking path, a fishing pier, and a disc golf practice field. There is also an outdoor stage for concerts so check the event calendar!
Hiking: There are hundreds of trails to hike in the area! From easy hiking on a former railroad bed which runs along the Laurel River to more challenging hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains, there are a myriad of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful views during every season. You can even hike sections of the Appalachian Trail!
Mountain Biking: If you enjoy biking along scenic and lightly-traveled roads then you will love biking in Madison County. Whether you want gently sloping or steep and challenging roads, you will find both here.
Fishing: Fly fishing, trout streams, or fish the mighty French Broad River! Marshall and all of Madison County are a fisherman’s paradise.
