When booking rafting, ziplining, or canyoneering trips with us, many people ask for recommendations on where they should stay. The Ashe Farm, located just one mile up the road from the Madison County Courthouse in Marshall, is always high on our list.
The Ashe Farm is a cozy bed and breakfast owned by Sandy and Roger McCracken. They offer delicious farm-to-table breakfast choices every morning. Sandy’s homemade cookies, which are always available for overnight guests, are not to be missed. (Take our word for it, we’ve eaten a lot of them!) Courtesy tea, coffee, cold beverages, beer, wines, and assorted fruit and cheeses are available in the afternoon. Overnight guests can also enjoy full use of the kitchen, patio, and outdoor grill.
But one expects good food and friendly hosts when booking a bed and breakfast. The Ashe Farm has more – much more! The farm is situated on stunning land with a rambling creek, and the house is full of valuable antiques. When staying at The Ashe Farm, it will be difficult to decide: Spend more time outside taking in the beautiful grounds and listening to the creek? Or, spend more time indoors perusing the antiques, which collectors will be delighted to hear are for sale.
