Such an amazing experience! Marty was our tour guide for a family of 5, and we couldn’t have been happier! Thank you Marty for making this new adventure such an outstanding experience! (: For families looking for more info - we were provided safety jackets, helmets, and many safety talks. The majority of us had never gone white water rafting so we were a mix of nervousness and excitement! We did the half day, ~4 hour ride, and took on a mix of Class 2 and 3 rapids! Would highly recommend and we will be back!
Thomas and Cara were the best! Thank you both for a fantastic zip with our group today! Both were great with easing us in and breaking the ice. One of our friends in our group wasn't very sure about doing it but Thomas and Cara really did awesome with keeping things light with jokes and just being very personable. Total blast! Thanks guys!

We used this company 22 years ago for our honeymoon. They were fantastic... so much so we will be returning with our 3 kids this summer!!
This was my first time zip lining, and I'm really glad I chose French Broad Adventures. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They were thorough in preparing and instructing our group. They were attentive to safety at all times. They checked and inspected our gear several times during the session, and they enforced the rules as necessary The course was fun and the scenery was beautiful. I recommend French Broad Adventures highly for families and adults!
We went on the short trip that included lunch for a very reasonable price. This was our first trip and it was amazing. The scenery was beautiful, and our guide was informative, professional, and a lot of fun! We learned a lot about the landmarks and homes you see along the river. We look forward to bringing our children next year. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends.
An amazing Zipline experience. This is definitely the place you want to come to. Only 30 min from Asheville. Guides were the best and the attention to detail and safety unmatched. We will be back.
This was my 5th time rafting in North Carolina (first time with this specific rafting service, though), and I can say that our guide, Jim, was the best one I've had so far. Jim displayed an amazing level of skill and knowledge of white water. He was also very personable, and shared his knowledge of the region's history and biology. Jim was super positive and encouraging to everyone in the boat. I suspect the other guides are very professional as well. Seems to be a great rafting company overall.
We did the 9 mile rafting trip and it was awesome!! Our guide Cory is a pro! We loved all the rapids along the route! We enjoyed the stories and wildlife we saw (bald eagles and nest). It was our first whitewater trip and we were comfortable because the guides have fun with safety in mind. We will be back!! Thank you, Cory!
There are five of us and the kids are tough critics. We had a great time throughout. The views were amazing and it was just the right mix of stimulation and peace.
There was a group of 4 of us for the easy riverside trip. It was incredible! Our guides were great at working with us when giving instructions and were super knowledgeable about the region. We will definitely be back.
We went rafting this week with Auggie as our guide and it was one of the best adventures we’ve had!! The whole staff was awesome. They are knowledgeable with the river and so prepared for the delicious lunch on the shore. We can’t wait to get back!!
Very professional and friendly guides. They make everyone feel at ease. Matt and Lily were our tour guides. They were very encouraging and understanding. Everything is well-maintained and beautifully presented. There are great vistas to view from the staging towers. Plan at least three hours for the zip lining.

Ahhhmazing!! Everyone was so courteous and skilled. Sean was a hilarious guide to and from the rafting area. Divans was our river guide and not only did he show us a fantastic time but he was funny and a great showman. No one in our raft had ever been before and we all had a blast. Can’t wait to return on our next time in the area to do the 9 mile trip.
Had the most incredible time and it truly was AN ADVENTURE!!!! Allie and Stephen were great guides. They made sure that we were very safe, down to making sure that we were always buckled in while we drove their and back! It's great to do this with people that have lived there their whole lives, love nature and truly care about making sure that we were so happy with our experience! This was seriously one of THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. It's exhilarating, not scary and perfect for anyone that wants to be a little closer to nature in a fun way. Check them out, make life long memories and have fun!
Had a fabulous time whitewater rafting with Calvin! He is super sweet and made the experience fun, with all of us feeling very safe with him as our guide. It was just the right amount of whitewater for us – nothing too crazy, but enough to be exciting. We will definitely go again!

Great e bike tour! We had such a great e bike adventure! I would highly recommend French Broad Adventures. Jake and Tom were excellent guides- very safety conscious and very knowledgeable about the bikes and the area where we toured. The ride was beautiful- along a river and we saw 2 incredible waterfalls as well. Jake and Tom gave great instruction prior to the ride and were so patient and fun to be with! The e bikes are a blast!

We just finished our trip and it was excellent. We have gone numerous places throughout the US and this is the top by far! We had A.J. and Shawn as our guides and they did a great job. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great guys. The facilities were nice, clean, organized, everyone was friendly and helpful, and there were no complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
The Best in NC! Knowledgeable of the river (more so than other rafting companies on the French Broad) safe, fun, and most of the guides have been there 5 yrs plus. They only hire 1-3 new guides a season. Other neighboring companies hire 30-40 untrained, college kids a season. I love TJ and Richard! However, there are other wonderful guides that I haven’t had the opportunity to raft with but was able to meet and talk with them. Real salt of the earth people!
Visited the french broad this summer, what a blast. Me, my boyfriend and our four grown boy went and we can’t stop talking about it. The company was very well ran, and made us feel safe at all times! The rafting and ziplines were awesome but it is the guide who really make this trip stand out above all the rest. Mitch,Justin and Jason aka "bacon" knew their history of the area and very very very funny!!! Have recommended this company to many friends who were heading that way for vacation! If your vacationing in the area or just passing threw, this is a must stop for your trip!!!! See you guys soon! Can’t wait to nite zipline and planning to visit on my honeymoon!!!! You guys rock!!!

This place is awesome. Have been coming here for years and somehow the experience keeps getting better. The people make a huge difference providing a good time while always feeling safe. They have rafting for experienced and novice, ziplining, and canyoneering (which is newer) available to try. The waterfall used for the repelling is awesome. The treehouse stop on the ziplining is ridiculous. Definitely add this to your Asheville vacation, you wont regret it!
