Awesome experience! I've been rafting before and it was terrible in comparison to this. Super knowledgable guides that knew exactly what they were doing. I felt safe the entire time even going through some rough class 3 rapids. Beautiful views and facility the whole way including the lunch area! Even the bus rides were entertaining with the guide telling jokes the whole time. I've got nothing bad to say!! An amazing and fun experience even for kids!!
This was so much fun! The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Their main objective is to make sure the customers have fun, but they are all about safety first and foremost. The entire trip was loaded with history and information which made it more than just a fun excursion. Richard was our guide, and he did such an awesome job keeping all of us focused and working together. He is very good at what he does. We had a great time!

We went rafting this week with Auggie as our guide and it was one of the best adventures we’ve had!! The whole staff was awesome. They are knowledgeable with the river and so prepared for the delicious lunch on the shore. We can’t wait to get back!!
Went Ziplining while on vacation and it was a blast! The girls that took us were so much fun! If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be going back to do their other activities!
What a great time.. the guides are hilarious and made me (a first timer) feel safe in their capable hands.. going back and bringing the kids.
Was an excellent class. Enjoyed the instructors and loved the river! Will take what i learned and apply it to my own paddling.
The guides are so knowledgeable, the area is rustic and the river has so much beauty. We were novice rafters and the 2 & 3 rapids were just the right level of exciting!! A great value for the length of the trip downriver too.
We used this company 22 years ago for our honeymoon. They were fantastic... so much so we will be returning with our 3 kids this summer!!
We visited in September and we did the 5 mile Raft trip with lunch and a afternoon Zip Line tour. I can't say enough good things about this company, they are fun, love to have a good time and they do everything to make you fell safe and taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed the rafting and the lunch was very good. Burgers, hot dogs and you can even get a veggie burger. We also loved the Zip Line, it was so amazing to be flying through the trees. I highly recommend them, they will make sure you have a good time.
Very much enjoyed the course. Excellent instruction and learning environment. Highly recommend offering the course again and multiple times during the season. Great course!
Our Zip line guides, Matt and Shayna, were so great!!! They made a very nervous, first time zip liner (me) feel safe and confident! Thanks for laughing at all our crazy jokes! We had a GREAT time!
My boyfriend got sick the morning of our zip lining/rafting trip, and the staff let us reschedule for the next day with no charge. Everyone was so friendly and helpful!!! Our guides were wonderful as well. Thomas and D were great guides on our zip lining trip and were so knowledgeable and hilarious. Augustine was an amazing rafting guide as well. He was so personable and clearly has a passion for what he does. Rafting was my favorite part of the day, and the scenery was beautiful. I highly recommend this family-owned company over any other in the area!!!!! This was all around a great experience!!!
Great e bike tour! We had such a great e bike adventure! I would highly recommend French Broad Adventures. Jake and Tom were excellent guides- very safety conscious and very knowledgeable about the bikes and the area where we toured. The ride was beautiful- along a river and we saw 2 incredible waterfalls as well. Jake and Tom gave great instruction prior to the ride and were so patient and fun to be with! The e bikes are a blast!
My daughter and I had a great time ziplining through the mountains! Matt & Joe were our guides, and they always made sure we were safe, and they kept it fun! the ziplines were so much fun. Highly recommend!
Visited the french broad this summer, what a blast. Me, my boyfriend and our four grown boy went and we can’t stop talking about it. The company was very well ran, and made us feel safe at all times! The rafting and ziplines were awesome but it is the guide who really make this trip stand out above all the rest. Mitch,Justin and Jason aka "bacon" knew their history of the area and very very very funny!!! Have recommended this company to many friends who were heading that way for vacation! If your vacationing in the area or just passing threw, this is a must stop for your trip!!!! See you guys soon! Can’t wait to nite zipline and planning to visit on my honeymoon!!!! You guys rock!!!
This was my first time ever going zip lining and it was a great experience! The paths and equipment were very well maintained. The guides, Thomas and Matt, did an awesome job. They were very patient with everyone and wanted to make sure we all felt comfortable. They also had lots of commentary and jokes throughout the tour which was a great bonus. I will definitely be back!
This company is amazing!!! Not much else to say really because every review says that, but I wanted to write a review because JUSTIN was the best raft guide ever and made it so much fun!!! He made jokes and told us history, but most importantly we knew we were safe in his hands! Make sure you say YES when he asks 'do you want to try something exciting?' It was my first time so we did the 5 miles, but honestly I wish I did the 9 mile instead! And the lunch is a delicious HOT meal in a great location!
My dad and I went here today for ziplining. Our guides, Thomas and Peter were super awesome and enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable and comforting. They both had a great sense of humor which was a plus and whenever I mentioned that the height was a little scary for me they were so nice about it and were quick to make me feel better again. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely come back here to do the white water rafting! P.s. this place is locally owned so whenever you're giving them business you're helping a local business which makes the whole experience way better. I had a blast and I highly recommend this place to anybody!
If you're like me, you spend way too many hours reviewing reviews and comparing rafting companies....Let me help you, STOP! There is truly no reason to spend another minute doing research. This company is the real deal. The staff were all top-notch! and the trip down the river was a blast. Great lunch about halfway down the river. I strongly recommend the 9 mile run.

If your group loves adventure you seriously need to go to French Broad Adventures! We did Ziplining in the morning (ask for Ariel and Becca), and then we went white water rafting (ask for Allie)! The guides were amazing and fun! Seriously super nice people! I can’t wait to visit again!

My family of 4 had an absolutely amazing time both rafting and ziplining for 2 days! Calvin was our river guide - full of knowledge and fun. Next time we are ready for the 9 mi. rafting trip! We had never ziplined before, Cara and Becca were awesome guides - a lot of fun and laughs - we were in great hands. Will be back, and will recommend French Broad Adventures to everyone!! Wish we could give more than 5 stars!
